Professional Receptionist

Habitat is an honour winning architectural studio very respected for its dynamic studio culture and complex philosophy. We are looking for an accomplished and professional receptionist to lead our front-office operations and capacity as a key representative of the organization.

This part requires faultless introduction, an abnormal state of meticulousness, agreeable and proficient relational abilities and the capacity to have and interface with staff, guests, providers and customers on an assortment of levels in an obliging and honest way. By nature, the effective individual reliably keeps up a quiet mien and methodologies their working day with activity and an inspirational mentality.

Everyday obligations will include:

  • Keeping up a respectable studio – every day set-up of gathering and meeting room spaces, kitchen and kitchenette, print and supply zones;
  • Coordination of meeting room appointments for all Habitat facilitated gatherings, in-house preparing and industry occasions;
  • Meet and welcome guests, take care of their needs and give refreshments;
  • Liaise with engineering industry providers;
  • Arrange and keep up solid gathering capacities – dispatches, taxicab charge, dispersion of mail, providing food and so on;
  • Investigate and keep up organization telephone and meeting room AV frameworks;
  • Furnish help with the association of staff works and be an excited individual from the social advisory group;
  • Give more extensive help to the Studio Administrator, HR Coordinator and Finance group with information section, printing, recording and so forth; and
  • Perform and organize general office errands for the more extensive studio.
  • The favoured applicant will have solid PC and Microsoft Office aptitudes and be eager in learning and championing our meeting room varying media frameworks guaranteeing the conveyance of consistent customer introductions.

Architectural Graduate

As a result of our expanded and improved studio environment, we are now looking for experienced architectural professionals.

Our well-established design team in Colombo is successfully designing and delivering projects across a range of sectors including residential, high rise residential commercial, hospitality and Institutional projects.  With an increase in number of commissioned and prospective projects requiring our attention, we are very excited about our projected future growth with many interesting and challenging design opportunities.

Accordingly, we now have several architectural graduate positions in the firm available and registrations of interest from suitably qualified and experienced candidates are now being accepted.

Successful candidates for these roles shall meet the following general selection criteria:

  • Degree in Architecture
  • More than one year of experience within architecture practice;
  • Proven concept design, schematic design and construction documentation skills;
  • The ability to envision and evolve concepts and effectively communicate resolved concept options and developed designs to clients, consultants and stakeholders;
  • Strong procurement skills and experience;
  • Hand drawing and CAD skills or other BIM programs;
  • The ability to competently use graphics packages such as Photoshop and InDesign (Adobe Suite) and MS-Office;
  • Business fluent English a must;
  • Effective presentation skills;
  • The ability to engender the trust and cooperation of people at all levels of organisations.
