SLAYS 3 MINUTE THESIS COMPETITION (SLAYS 3MT(R)) 2017

Congratulations to our Principal Architect Prof.Archt. Lalith De Silva and the UOM team for winning the Gold Medal in the SLAYS 3 MINUTE THESIS COMPETITION (SLAYS 3MT(R)) 2017. This was jointly organized by Sri Lankan Academy of Young Scientists (SLAYS) and National Science Foundation of Sri Lanka (NSF).Three Minute Thesis (3MTĀ®) is a professional and highly engaging international communication competition developed by SLAYS with the permission from the University of Queensland (UQ).

The competitors presented MPhil/PhD thesis in three minutes with the aid of a single slide. Out of 144 applications received 11 finalists were selected. Two competitors from University of Moratuwa (UOM) made it through to the finals and were awarded Gold Medals at the SLAYS Open Forum 2017, held at Hilton Colombo Residences on 1st March 2017. The finalist represented the Department of Building Economics UOM was Mrs. Harshini Mallawarachchi. Main supervisor Prof.Archt.
